Knitting....Reading

Joining Ginny today on this snowy, school delay kind of day for some knitting and reading.

I am working on training myself to get up earlier. I tend to sleep until the last possible minute and then get up and run around like a chicken with my head cut off. The problem with getting up at the last possible minute is that I am behind all day and sometimes I end up staying up later than I would like to finish up all the stuff that I should have done all day.

So far, so good and I've been knitting with my coffee each morning while the rest of the house is still asleep!

I am still knitting away on the Maxi Dress and I ditched The Historian (I. Just. Couldn't. Read. Another. Page!) So I digged into my library book basket and I've been reading through my selections. Right now I am reading The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbo. Very suspenseful--just how I like em'!

I can't wait to see what everyone is working on this week!

  1. I am an early riser, so I treasure those first few quiet minutes of the day for knitting and reading.

  2. That's so insightful--I never made the connection between waiting until the last possible minute to get up and the reason why my bedtime is always pushed back later than I would like.

Lovely knitting. I love that color.

And don't worry, you weren't the only person who couldn't make it through The Historian :)

  3. I also try to get up early..it has been hard on these rainy days we have been having. I love the colors you chose for your project.

  4. Good luck with the early rising. The older I get the more I appreciate waking up early :)

  5. I love the alone time I get with rising early. Just me and a quiet house.

  6. I love starting my day off with those quiet peaceful moments before everyone else wakes up. The colors you've chose are really fun. It's going to look so good when it's done.

  7. Lovely colours. I stay up too late at night too, somehow I get more done at that end of the day.
