I was pretty much betting on a snow day last week and was so excited to have nowhere to go all day long!
We kept busy making these heart ornaments inspired by cover of the January/February issue of "Cloth Paper Scissors" magazine. We painted some hearts on fabric, added stamps, ribbon, and stitching and Voila! The kids had a blast and so did I. It was fun to create something like this that used up bits of fabric and batting that otherwise would be wasted.
The four year old designed and made these. Once she gets in the zone, she keeps going with it!!
The ten year old even got in on the action and thought "Bee Mine" was very clever!!
Here is one of the hearts I made. The rest are MIA and I have a sneaky suspicion a little four legged furball (or two..) has something to do with my missing hearts!! It was difficult to photograph but I layered watercolors and then acrylics on the top...loved how this came out with the burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
I'm joining Brenda today.
Hi Lisa. Cute hearts! Glad you all had fun on your snow day.
