Crazy few weeks here but I did manage to do some knitting and reading. I really enjoy joining Ginny each week.
I had to take a break from reading The Historian because the library called and scolded me for not bringing one of my (many!) books back. I thought the librarian said all my books were due on January 30th but it turned out one was due earlier...oops.
Anyway, I read it so I could get it back to the library. Munsters Case by Hakan Nesser is another Swedish mystery novel. I just can't get enough of them lately. The library called the other day and had 5 more Swedish mysteries on hold for me. Now if I can just get through The Historian. I feel like it is just sooooo boring. On the train, off the train, in a library, in another library, oh look! A vampire! (but nothing happens!) I am trying because I kid you not, the other day someone else asked me if I read it! I am halfway through right now, so I'll keep going, I am hoping for a big payoff, a point where I am like "oh this is why someone tells me every single week to read this book!!"
I am also reading Raw Energy by Stephanie Touries.
I am still knitting along on a Maxi Dress for my daughter. I was going to knit it all in purple to use up my yarn, but she wanted the hot pink contrast. I like it!
I can't wait to see what everyone is working on and reading this week.
Love the maxi dress, sure she will look super cute in it.
ReplyDeleteShe will be cute in the Maxi dress - a like a girl with bold taste too so I'm sure the hot pink contrast will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat girl's dress pattern is adorable! :) (I have a knitted dress pattern giveaway over at my place right now... did you enter to win it?)
ReplyDeleteYou must live somewhere small that you librarian actually calls you! Wow. :)
We don't even have libraries here. Or bookstores. Very sad indeed! When we travel, I always hit the bookstores in airports and once I'm in another country, I am always on the hunt for magazines. Happy knitting! Tammy
ReplyDeletethose books sound interesting, i haven't read a swedish mystery. happy knitting on your pretty dress!
