Yikes! Certainly not very spring-like out there!!! Oh well, I'm posting at Brenda's anyway!
I've got spring cleaning on my mind this week as we enter the first week of March. Spring cleaning tends to elude me each year since once the weather warms up, the last place I want to be is inside cleaning! I decided to try something different this year. Instead of one big spring cleaning, I am going to try incorporating a room each week into my regular cleaning schedule.
While I am deep cleaning the room for any given week, I want to make a list of repairs and things needed for the room or area and then work on getting that done once the weather warms up.
Each week, my cleaning schedule is as follows.
Monday-Bathrooms/Vacuum stairway
Tuesday-Kitchen/Dining area
Wednesday-Living Room/entry
Thursday-Master Bedroom (including all bedding/upstairs hallway
Friday-Kid's Bedrooms (including all bedding)
Saturday-Laundry Room
This week I am going to work on Spring Cleaning the bathrooms which is a good one to start with since it won't take too long.
Once the weather warms up that I can open the windows for more than a few minutes, I want to shampoo the upstairs carpets.
Hopefully by the time it's warm enough to start gardening, my home will sparkle. Until then, I'll keep my home cheerful through these last winter weeks with colorful handmade goodies!!
Is it time for bed yet?
Oh how I love scrappy Dresden plates!
I like your idea for spring cleaning. I need to first get on a regular schedule of daily cleaning. ;-) Your crocheted blanket is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

Love the afghan on the bed - it has such great colors!
ReplyDeleteThank you Manuela. I visited your blog but I couldn't comment. Your dish gardens are beautiful. I'll be on the lookout for a soup dish!!
DeleteI love your afghan and Dresdens! :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could stick to a cleaning schedule. Every week I try to do just as you have -- certain rooms on certain days so that my weekends are free but I never ever can keep at it. Your granny afghan is lovely and the Dresden plates are very pretty, too. Best wishes for a wonderful day, Tammy
